Our Story
The WAVE Coalition was founded in April 2025, by a passionate team of environmentalists who recognized the urgent need for conservation, environmental awareness, and animal welfare advocacy. WAVE’s team is committed to not only teaching about our planet's challenges but also actively working to address them. The WAVE Coalition was born from a desire to bridge the gap between education and action, empowering individuals to make a positive impact through hands-on research, immersive programs, and community involvement.
Our board members have over 20 years of combined experience in environmental education and represent a range of backgrounds, including marine biology, marine conservation management, zookeeping, veterinary science, conservation biology, divemaster work, media production, and underwater videography. Their dedication to spreading accurate, science-based information drives our mission to foster a deeper understanding of wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship. Through innovative projects, community events, and research initiatives, we are dedicated to creating a future where conservation and education work hand in hand to address the stressors our planet is facing.
DiveOne X WAVE
The WAVE Coalition’s Board originally established DiveOne, LLC., which provided high school students with the opportunity to gain scuba certifications, develop their skills, and gain hands-on experience in marine science through immersive travel programs. With the founding of The WAVE Coalition, DiveOne’s core mission was absorbed and continues through dedicated programs focused on expanding opportunities for underrepresented students. This initiative equips students with valuable certifications, field experience, and career-building opportunities in marine science and conservation.
