World Oceans Day is a celebration of the oceans and their effect on life on the planet. It's also a day to remember how important it is to protect the oceans due to their impact on us and the biodiversity of life they support.
Even here in Minnesota, the oceans have an impact on us, and we have an impact on it. Litter can make its way into our waterways right here in Minnesota, and it will end up in the oceans, not just affecting our wildlife but the ocean's, too.
So come by on June 10th to help us keep Minnesota parks clean, to promote safe and clean parks as well as help minimize human impact on local ecosystems.
Donuts will be provided, if you RSVP, and after the event, if you can, consider coming with WAVE to grab some coffee and get to know us and meet some new friends!
We will provide trash bags! We also have a limited number of grabbers and gloves that people can use!
You'll want to bring:
Water Bottle
Sunscreen
Any extra grabbers OR your own gloves due to limited supply!
We hope to see you there!
